Dolphins often get deep soft-tissue injuries from shark bite, so how does wound healing occur underwater? Apparently, the blubber near the site of the wound undergoes decomposition and releases organohalogens working as antimicrobial substances to clean the wound.

hemocytes in the larva are proliferating

Really nice paper from Katja Brückner showing a population of larval hemocytes that proliferate when in touch with the peripheral nervous system in a compartment called epidermal-muscular pockets.
